Where is Eight restaurant located?

You can find us inside Cordis, Auckland hotel, on the main lobby level. The hotel is located at 83 Symonds Street, Grafton, Auckland 1010.

Where can I park when dining at Eight?

Hotel valet parking at a charge of $25 for 3 hours is sometimes available. It is subject to availability on the day and cannot be pre-booked. Please email our Concierge on the day for more information. Should you wish to park your own vehicle, there is metered parking in the surrounding streets and several privately operated Wilsons pay and display public car parks. The closest Wilson car park is in Liverpool Street, adjacent to the hotel. You can also download the ParkMate app to pay for your parking using your smartphone.

What are our hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

You can find our hours of operation here for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as our evening dinner session times.  Please note, dinner bookings are limited to a 2 hour dining session.

How do I book, and do I need to book or pay in advance?

Advance bookings are recommended and essential at weekends. For certain key events, pre-payment may be required. For groups of 8 people or more, a deposit of $20 per person is required to confirm your booking. What are our prices at Eight for adults and children?

You can find our regular pricing here for children, adults, breakfast, lunch, dinner and our dessert only evenings. Our prices include 15% GST (goods and services tax). Please note that special promotional pricing may apply for events such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas season etc.

What are your charges on Public Holidays?

Saturday pricing applies on all Public Holidays. For further pricing details, please see our dining hours and prices.

Is there a charge to pay by credit card?

Please note a surcharge may apply to payments made by credit card. Payments by cash or eftpos do not attract the surcharge.

Can we pay our bill separately?

We regret we cannot accept separate payments. One account per table, please.

Can I still use my Langham Supper Club card at Cordis, Auckland hotel?

Yes indeed. Cordis, Auckland hotel is owned by Langham Hospitality Group, and your Langham Supper Club card is still valid to be used at the hotel’s restaurants and bars.

Do you offer discounts, and is there a discount for groups and birthdays?

While there is no discount for groups or birthdays, we do have a range of special offers available throughout the year (some of which may apply to groups or birthdays from time to time). Please check our Offers page to find out about our current special offers. We also have a dining loyalty programme called Langham Supper Club which offers members a 15% discount (unless otherwise specified during a special promotion). What type of food and drinks do you offer at Eight restaurant?

We offer eight different international cuisines that include seafood, a New York style grill, a wok and dim sum corner, an Indian tandoor kitchen, fresh sushi and sashimi, a salad bar, a pasta kitchen and desserts including a chocolate fountain and cheeseboard. We are fully licensed and offer a wide range of beers, wines, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.

Is Eight a buffet restaurant?

Eight is a buffet-style restaurant, based on an exciting concept of interactive dining. Each of our Eight kitchens is hosted by an expert chef and you can ask them for advice, or request your selections to be grilled or prepared to taste as you watch. You can dine as often as you like and enjoy as many dishes as you please, from any of the kitchens.

What is the difference between lunch and dinner at Eight?

All Eight kitchens operate at both lunch and dinner. The lunch selection has a smaller range of dishes available. The dinner selection is more varied and offers a  wider choice of selections, including prime specialty meats such as ostrich, venison and kangaroo; seasonal seafood such as Balmain bugs, clams, crawfish, crab legs and scampi; pizza and more, which are not available at lunch.

What seafood do you have available at Eight?

At lunch – oysters, prawns, mussels and a selection of fresh fish.

At dinner – a seasonal selection of oysters, clams, crab legs, Balmain bugs, scampi, prawns, crawfish, mussels and fresh fish.

Please note, all seafood is subject to seasonality and availability and offerings may vary accordingly.

Do you offer halal, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options?

If you are vegan, vegetarian, halal or gluten-free, we have a wide range of mouth-watering options to suit. If you have any special dietary requirements, please advise our staff when you book so that we can cater for your preference. If you have any food allergies, please notify our staff before you dine so we can advise you accordingly.

What is the dress code when dining at Eight?

As Cordis, Auckland is a five-star hotel, for the comfort of all guests, we suggest a smart casual dress code, with closed shoes and no sportswear.
