Join us for the Christmas Season at Eight and enjoy all your festive favourites at lunch and dinner, with Christmas music and stunning decorations to add Christmas cheer to your celebration.

Please note that following the Government review of Auckland Region’s status on 29th November, we will have a firmer idea of when we can welcome you back to celebrate the festive season. Should a buffet to table service be required for festive dining in Eight, we will contact confirmed bookings to advise.

Join us to celebrate the Christmas season with friends, family and colleagues. From juicy roast ham and turkey with crispy roast potatoes to delicious Christmas pudding, festive cakes and mince pies, it isn’t Christmas without Eight! Make a note of our big days – as they will be extra special.

CHRISTMAS EVE

Join us on Christmas Eve for a sumptuous spread for lunch and dinner with all the festive trimmings, including succulent roast ham and turkey, potatoes roasted with duck fat, Christmas pudding, mince pies and more. Christmas decorations and music will create a festive ambience and there’s a glass of Champagne per person served at dinner.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Lunch and dinner will feature a mouth-watering gourmet feast on Christmas Day, with delicious dishes including Peking duck with mini bao buns, slipper lobster, wild boar steaks, Korean chili octopus, Greek style lamb racks and whole snapper cooked Chinese style. Traditional Christmas favourites will include succulent roast turkey and ham, crispy duck-fat roasted potatoes, Christmas pies and puddings, and a premium beverage package of wines, beers, juices and to accompany your meal. Stunning decorations, crackers and Christmas music will add to the festive cheer. Santa will pay a visit during lunch bringing a small gift for the kids and there’s a chocolate for everyone to enjoy.

NEW YEAR’S EVE

We’ve got your New Year’s celebrations covered with great festive decorations, plenty of good cheer and a glass of Champagne to enjoy with dinner – what could be better! There are delicious gourmet selections at all the kitchens for both lunch and dinner, such as Peking duck (dinner only), slipper lobster, spanner crabs, pork ribs, wild boar steaks, rotisserie herb lamb shoulder, crispy pork belly in bao buns, whole snapper cooked Chinse style and more. Gather your friends and family and get your New Year’s celebration off to a truly delicious start.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Special Christmas promotional pricing applies for lunch and dinner for the festive season from 1 December to 31 December. 
  • Cordis Auckland reserves the right to charge the correct price in the case of any errors or omissions.
  • Bookings are essential and subject to availability.
  • Bookings by phone or email are essential for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve dining at Eight. Online bookings will not be accepted.
  • We require full pre-payment for Christmas Day. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
  • Langham Supper Club, Senior discounts and any other discounts, offers, vouchers and membership entitlements are excluded on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day (including Champagne Breakfast) and New Year’s Eve. 
  • On Christmas Eve  and New Year’s Eve, the glass of Champagne will be served at the dinner session only.
  • On Christmas Day, the visit from Santa will take place during the lunch session only.
  • We require a deposit of $20 per person at the time of making a reservation for groups of 8 or more people. For full details of our Group Booking policy and to make a group booking, please see our Group Deposit form
  • Food items and seafood are subject to availability and seasonality and may vary on the day. Eight reserves the right to substitute items as required.
  • We regret that we cannot serve alcohol to anyone under the legal drinking age.
  • In the event of a dispute, Eight restaurant reserves the right to make the final decision.

Eight is open for up to 100 guests at a time, with a Festive Buffet to Table service from Wed to Sun.  All guests and visitors to the hotel including restaurant/bar patrons at Eight Restaurant, Chandelier Lounge and Our Land is Alive, must provide proof on arrival of their COVID-19 vaccination certificate or official medical exemption to enter the hotel.

Children over 12 years must be fully vaccinated; children under 12 years do not need to be vaccinated if accompanied by fully vaccinated adults.

Evidence can be shown through your My Covid Record, which can be accessed through your My Health Account. All staff working at Cordis Auckland are fully vaccinated. For further information on COVID-19, please visit the Ministry of Health website.
